The last launch of a space shuttle will take place today after 5 p.m. Prague Summer Time.
Despite all the talk about alternatives and other interesting things happening, and about the uselessness of manned flights, I can't get rid of the feeling that this development is a significant setback for the American space research - that may be literally losing its dominant spot today - and for the mankind's space research itself.
Just to be sure, it doesn't seem that the manned flights are the only sector that suffers. Hubble's successor, the James Webb Space Telescope, is at risk of being killed, too.
Blogger.com to be renamed
Google Plus, i.e. Google's own Facebook, is already working for me. Try plus.google.com now. You may add other people into circles.
As Google is releasing its Google Plus, it will rename the previously purchased Picasa Web to Google Photos and Blogger.com to Google Blogs. Those things will be integrated with Google Plus.
Well, as long as the URLs and blogs won't stop working, and as long as they won't rename motls.blogspot.com to e.g. shmoit-and-shwolin.blogs.google.com, it's OK with me haha.
The changes of the name will be applied in the next six weeks. So far, YouTube will preserve its name that it irregular and doesn't have Google in it. Once Google absorbs Facebok and Twitter, YouTube will be unified with Facebook and Twitter under the name YouTwitFace.
