In November 1917, Aurora ignited the October revolution in Russia.
Its namesake seen yesterday in most of Michigan has been more spectacular but it didn't lead to any catastrophe.
It's actually pretty to watch the stars moving over the sky in the timelapse video, too. Despite all the talk about light pollution, the state of the greatest U.S. carmakers is an ideal place to watch some detailed astronomical pleasure.
