### Genesis according to Kerry: you shall save the Muslim world from global warming

What an interesting combination of insanities

As you may have noticed, I am very busy these days and it will continue to be so for 9 more days because several things have overlapped. So it may be a time for easier blog posts.

When I was reading a title by Anthony Watts,
Is John Kerry mentally ill? "Scriptures Commands America To Protect Muslims From Global Warming"
I was thinking that Anthony had to misinterpret Kerry's words or heavily exaggerate, or something like that. But then I pressed "play" on this 90-second video:

In the State Department, they follow the slogan "religion matters". Moreover, all religions are really brothers and all of their scriptures, starting from Genesis, command us as follows:
You shall save the Muslim world and the blessed children of God such as the ISIS from the anthropogenic global warming.
OK, I added the ISIS but otherwise it's there. I agree with those who say that if the socialist U.S. Obamacare really works, John Kerry should be immediately assigned several psychiatrists for free.

First of all, religions are not loving cousins. They are as much cousins as they are unrelated inventions. They are, have been, and will be loving each other as much as they are and have been and will be hating and exterminating each other.

If Kerry were a responsible Secretary of State, he would know that the American values – and not just the general and controversial thing such as "religion" – matter in the work of his office. If he knew something about the Middle East, he would know that his country has many more staunch enemies than friends over there.

If he had opened the Bible and if he hadn't lost his mind since that moment, he would know that there is nothing about climate change or global warming over there. The old Jews couldn't really understand the concept of the "climate" or distinguish it from the "weather" – and this unified weather+climate was clearly controlled by God, not by humans, usually in order for God to make the point that He shouldn't have been messed with (especially on religious, not industrial, matters).

The Bible actually contradicts the environmentalist attitude to the world in the most general sense. The Holy Scripture clearly and unambiguously says that God has generously donated the Earth to the humans – God's proteges – so that they can exploit it, manage it, and screw it, if it makes them happy. And that's what people (and animals) have been doing for millions of years, anyway. I am somewhere in between the attitude of the Bible and that of the environmentalists but that may be a reason why I view them as incompatible memes on opposite sides.

The same key text of Christianity also clearly says that those who believe in various false prophets, such as the Muslims, should be informed about their fatal sins and their looming journey to Hell. In other "brotherly" scriptures, the duties of the believers are much harsher – and more seriously, the Muslims often behave in this way even in the 21st century (because they still live in the 14th one or so). For example, how would the Muslims love Fritz Kohn, Kerry's Jewish grandfather who came to the U.S. from the Czech lands? (On behalf of my country, I apologize to America for that unfortunate accident – Fritz Kohn's suicide in Boston's Copley Plaza Hotel was too little too late.) Well, the answer is given in Hadith, the package of important religious teachings of the Sunni Islam:
The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews, when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdullah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (the Boxthorn tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews. (related by al-Bukhari and Muslim). Sahih Muslim, 41:6985, see also Sahih Muslim, 41:6981, Sahih Muslim, 41:6982, Sahih Muslim, 41:6983, Sahih Muslim, 41:6984, Sahih al-Bukhari, 4:56:791,(Sahih al-Bukhari, 4:52:177)
All the stones and trees – except for one tree I have never heard of (I admit that since late May, the trees that I have encountered most frequently were gradient boosted decision trees) – would co-operate in the extermination of the Jews. With such a co-operation of the landscape, it is clearly unnecessary to build any gas chambers. So this talk about the harmony between the religions is ludicrous. And by the way, the quote above is so important that it became a part of the Charter of Hamas. And as you may see, it is not just a formality on the paper (or papyrus): they say it and they live it. Unfortunately.

If John Kerry were a sane person in the 21st century, he would have also known that the purely technical and modern-science- and economics-dependent question whether one should "wrestle" with the climate change can't be answered by the Bible even if that text were trying to provide us with an answer. Sensible people believed that scientific controversies could have been settled in this way something like 500 years ago but this methodology became to be exponentially eliminated soon after.

The U.S. Secretary of State seems to be deluded and lacking basic mental health at so many levels that I wouldn't really know what to do with him. I realize that the act of worshiping of religions must be popular among the U.S. electorate (those supporting both parties) but I am sure that most Americans are able to notice that something has gone awry over here.

1. Some deserve anthropogenic local warning, from nuclear reactions.

2. Reminds me of a Gore speech here in his home state of Tennessee in which he said that, of course, the world was created six thousand years ago.

3. Kerry's comments are mind-boggling. What scriptures is he reading? "The Holy Book of Climate Change"? There are many books therein written by the Prophets of Climatology and the Priests of EPA. His quest for fame, power and riches has driven him insane.

4. Sorry for the offtopic post, but any thoughts on this?

http://www.natureworldnews.com/articles/8892/20140905/scientists-create-new-model-for-detecting-dark-matter.htm
http://journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.113.071303

From what I understand, they're making some assumptions on DM properties ("flavor-mixed multicomponent dark matter"), run simulations of universes and get the best-yet-match for observed large scale structure.

Probably someone hyping up their own research, but research, but the following sounds interesting:

"Our results demonstrated that the flavor-mixed, two-component dark matter model resolved all the most pressing Lambda-CDM problems simultaneously," Medvedev concluded.

5. Digital Globe, not so private. This \$400 mil market was opened up by US Govt in June:
http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSL2N0OR2UX20140611?irpc=932&ref=browsi

6. In my latest book"The Equation of Everything"on kindle I incorporate string theory inTo Relativistic form and Quantum MECHANICS TO DERIVE AN EQUATION AN INCH LONG WHICH UNIFIES BOTH AND BECOMES ZERO.First of all gravity is the curvature of space-time caused by mass and is an effect. At black hole event horizons the curvature approaches infinity and therefore time appears to have stopped.Spacetime is inversely proportional to mass and directly proportional to space. When the equation is multiplied by 1/c2 one gets the Grand Unification Energy of the BigBang. If you're interested read my book.Dr.M.Wick

7. Hi, the article says that Digital Globe Inc got a license to sell high-res photos that could generate extra profit. I am not sure why you think that a license makes the company any less private. Are you sure that you understand basics of economics?

8. I approved the rant in order to help to show to others who are on the path of being similar to you that they may become complete lunatics as well if they will nurture their conspiracy theories for an extra while.

9. It's not a simple license, they're alone in this (US) market. These images have military value, it's common business if Digital Globe will often sell them to the govt. What I'm trying to understand is how the company's sattelites were used as military ones.

10. Why shouldn't a private company sell products to the government or the Pentagon?

Concerning the list of clients, Wikipedia puts it as follows:

DigitalGlobe’s customers range from urban planners, to the U.S. federal agencies, including NASA[7] and the United States Department of Defense's National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).[18] Much of Google Earth and Google Maps high resolution-imagery is provided by DigitalGlobe,[19] as is imagery used in TerraServer.[20] DigitalGlobe's main competitors were GeoEye (formerly Orbimage and Space Imaging), before their merger with DigitalGlobe, and still Spot Image.

11. Yes, in all the world the defense and agribusiness are their main customers. In this particular event, like Lavrov said, no one signed the images, as if Digital Globe has acted in a showcase...

12. Wow, God bless Putin.

13. I don't disagree. Precisely enough and appropriately enough applied, such "local warming" would sooth and cool some of us down (including me and like-minded others who are located elsewhere). ;>

14. If, like Kerry, I were a Catholic, then I'd agree with him. What he says is not theologically or even practically absurd. According to the Bible, Earth is indeed given to humans to be steered—with the implication that they should steer it wisely, not foolishly.

Despite that Christianity teaches us that existence on Earth is a mere veil that will soon be lifted upon eternal vistas, I think you can reasonably say that the Biblical God doesn't want us to besmirch that veil or tear it. So if you believe, as Kerry does, that being the wise stewards of Earth is our God-given duty, then you believe not only that keeping Earth clean and healthy is one of our duties, but also that maintaining peace between nations and between groups of people is.

Yet since I believe that Christianity is false, I believe that Kerry was being inappropriate when, during a public speech, he invoked the Bible and our so-called God-given, Biblical duties.

15. Unbelievable this. Supporting AGW and islam. It could not get much worse...

16. Craig is very intelligent. Though you detect some dishonesty in him, I can't say I do. He seems to me to be upright and kind. On his website, you can read his interesting memoir, 'Double Doctorates,' of his education: http://www.reasonablefaith.org/double-doctorates. He mastered French in less than a year then moved to Germany and learned German, through which he learned Latin. That is impressive.

17. Gad, the moral complications of it all. This man has reached a level of theological excellence that is beyond the reach of normal men.

18. Now, let’s hear from the other side, the more rational one, I think.
My country, the US, has no interest in getting involved in this fight. All the statements in our press re. Putin’s military aggression are pure flim-flam. There is zero public support for American action here. It is not going to happen.

19. For those Wotanjugend wishing to help out 'the dark side' Azov battalion presently takes volunteers, should you wish to participate in the relief of that city. You might be able to make contact with them via their webpage, winsomely entitled "Wotanjugend" (so as not to be confused with the HJ):

http://wotanjugend.info

20. What scriptures is he reading?

Aparently he has been reading The Book of Goran.

21. Obamunism: Children playing with double-edged razor blades, Dad's platinum AMEX card, granny's big bottle of Paxil greenies, and Trisomy 21. Some may say John Kerry was not born stupid, he was trained. I give the man full credit. Baste him with Synthroid, Botox him flat, blow some smoke up his butt, and launch.

Discarding cause and effect embraces the compassion of diversity. The unabled maximize self-esteem to be credible, effectively selecting for the deluded. Reality deficit disorder generates deformed decisions. The solution is buying more lottery tickets (e.g., ethnic studies).

22. The covert origins of ISIS:

23. The focus of my country’s ire is clearly on ISIL/ISIS/IS, which Obama regards as a cancer that must be destroyed. The Ukraine just does not matter to the US from an internal political viewpoint. We are quite content to leave things alone in Eastern Europe, no matter what the war mongers are saying. It is pure bluster and I’m sure Putin knows it.
If Obama is successful against the Islamic State his stature will greatly increase. I wish him well.

24. I am thankful that Kerry is only Sec of State -- imagine if he had been elected president in 2004. Obama seems to surround himself with team players even more inept than himself, the true sign of a fearful, talentless boss.

25. There is also another explanation to all this: the US have lost yet another war.

26. True, Ann. Hilary was too strong for Obama---quite scary, but a force. Kerry is inept, and this
incredibly stupid pandering to religion doesn't play well in other countries. Maybe he is trying to kill ISIS leaders by making them laugh themselves to death.

27. Kerry holds an office in an organization which systematically uses 'madness' as an instrument of policy.

Nothing more need be said, if the link to religion is ignored. Then the incitement to violence is more apparent.

28. ‘I agree with Craig that the Universe is ultimately free of logical contradictions.’

I have always believed this, too. But I recently came across a mathematical idea that bothers me: the Banach–Tarski paradox. Perhaps you can help me.

If this paradox has been proved, how doesn't it entail either (1) that a contradiction obtains in the Universe or (2) that mathematical Platonism (some form of which you believe) is false?

Is it not contradictory to say that a finite-sized solid object can be cut up then, without its pieces being at all stretched, reassembled into a larger finite-sized solid object?

Please, if you kindly try to answer this for me, keep in mind that I have no formal mathematical or logical education and am accordingly apt to be very misguided from the start when discussing such things.
